Bringing integrity, family values, and southern hospitality back to the horse industry.

Clinics to help you sharpen your horsemanship, penning, and sorting skills.

Thank you so much for your consideration of a Buckner Cow Horse clinic!!!

We are very excited to offer team penning, ranch sorting, and horsemanship clinics in group or private sessions at your place or ours! Clinics instructed by Brian Buckner.

Location:   We are located in Magee, MS, 45 minutes south of Jackson, MS. Jackson International Airport is only 30 minutes from our driveway, and we are 4 miles from US Highway 49. Magee offers major hotel chains, along with some very good restaurants especially if you like southern home style cooking. If that is not to your taste Magee also has plenty of fast food chains. If you have family that does not ride bring them along! We are 45 minutes from four major shopping complexes. Maybe golf is more their style we are 15 miles from a very nice 18 hole golf coarse. When looking for summer fun there is a water park for the kids of all ages only 20 miles away from our home. We have something to offer everyone to do from riding, shopping, golfing, or playing.

Our Home Individual Clinics: $350 for 5 hours of instruction per rider this includes working cattle. If you are only looking for help with your horsemanship it is $250 for 5 hours per rider (No cattle work). We have RV hook ups and stalls available for multiple day sessions.

Our Home Group Clinic: Pricing varies depending on the number of students, instruction requirements, and cattle used.

At Location Of Your Choice: Brian will also travel to you. Set up a group or private clinic in your area. The cost is $1000 a day plus fuel expense. Your responsible for supplying the facility, cattle, stalls, and RV hook up. If no RV hook ups are available hotel cost will also be your responsibility. Prices may vary depending on extenuating circumstances.

What Brian Covers: Brian's clinics begin with an introduction to basic horsemanship, understanding how to position your horse and why. Next Brian goes into cattle work when he feels the individual or group is ready. Then he teaches strategy for team penning and/or ranch sorting tying the horsemanship and cattle work together. Brian assures anyone that if you attend the clinic willing to learn and with an open mind, you will leave with improved team penning, ranch sorting, and basic horsemanship skills.
